Snapshots of Saturday & Unintentional Moments

Today I had a little adventure at Circular Quay/The Rocks in desperation to find some good quality paper for my magazine cover project. I resorted to going to Parker's fine art supplies to see what they had on offer - of course Parker's would have a vast range of beautiful and gorgeous paper for the purpose of art but the question was... could they go through digital printing? Generally the dude said they could but for the colours to look better the paper would need a coating... they only had one paper which had good digital printing compatibility... but it would cost 31 for a sheet. I mean it's worth it considering it's size, texture and quality, but is it worth the unknown chemical reaction between digital file + printer + paper? It's hard to say and it's a lot of money (especially with Switzerland around the corner) to put my bet on it. I'll definitely keep it as a back up however.

I also got a glimpse of the newly renovated MCA. I'm absolutely loving the architecture and new identity of the MCA. It has a tetris/janga/rubics cube kind of feel minus the crazy colours. It's also feeling more monumental and museum-like - I didn't go in yet but it's definitely the first thing I'll do when the break starts. There was also a lovely sky blue bicycle with basket parked near by the museum. The weather was amazing: beautiful blue skies, sunshine, cool temperature and lots of breeze. I decided to stalk and shoot some pigeons just to collect some shots which could be useful for my image archive + future reference if I ever need to do anything pigeon related again (as our magazine is called 'pigeonhole').

But while I was shooting this little curious fella came stumbling towards me... and just at the right time and right moment I managed to take this shot; unplanned and spontaneously without any clue if the manual settings were right or if it was even in focus. To my delight his beautiful big eyes with long lashes that were caught staring at the camera are in focus. I think his mother captured the moment when I captured this moment on her phone camera too. I love natural photos and this one couldn't get anymore natural (haha can you see his drool?). This made me smile :)
