6 Phrase/Word Manifesto

In our first tutorial we had to do some reflective writing on our process, habits and improvements to be made in relation to typography. We then had to highlight 6 words/phrases and turn it into a hand generated typographic poster. Technically #1 wasn't in my piece of writing since my writing is really crappy and uninspiring under pressure and out of comfort zone conditions, so I just HAD to put something there that could at least be something motivating (this poster was meant to be a motivation poster after all). If not now then when actually comes from Incubus's latest album and I thought it was extremely relevant in the realm of creativity and procrastination. But it also links to how inspiring they are in terms of their passion for music, art and life; living & thriving on creative energy. And I want to live off a similar inner creative energy as they do. They're just amazing. Period. 

In this poster I decided to experiment with the whole vintage mixed type thing and really just had fun + played around with it. I didn't think too long on composition and mostly just let it flow from initial sketch of word placement to the style of each words, and finally the execution which is what you're seeing here. It's not anything refined but I'm pretty happy with it as a one shot. It was definitely fun :)
